The Da Vinci Code
The movie adaptation of Dan Brown's international bestseller "The Da Vinci Code" opens this weekend in movie theaters across the Globe. This has recently rekindled the controversy surrounding this work of fiction, especially among the Catholics. The question is what would be the appropriate response to it, whether we should ban it, boycott it, or do something else. I for one have enjoyed reading the book, although some of its claims were so outrageously wrong that every once in a while I had to put the book down and have a good laugh. I am also planning on seeing the movie, and I hope that the action scenes are as good as possible so I don't have to lough too much. Otherwise people in the theatre might find me a tad bit annoying.
