Orkut King

A friend of mine heard from another friend that I am an "Orkut King". Now that he also joined Orkut, he believes that assertion and he asked me for a few tips for an Orkut newbie. I thought I might share those here as well:

Join communities that you feel strongly about. Contribute a lot and
try to be helpful in answering others' questions. If there is no
community that exactly matches your interests (which is pretty hard
these days) start one of your own. Humor goes a long way, so if in
doubt, crack a joke or two. Add people to your friends list whose
posts you appreciate. Unless there is something that really puts you
off in someone else's profile, be willing to accept other's friend
initiation. Leave scraps in people's scrapbooks (THE way of
communication on Orkut). If they scrap you, you scrap them back soon
(within a week is fine). Always remember people's birthdays. And if
you are really, really, serious about Orkut (which I guess even I am
still not): learn Portuguese.

Dearest Bojan, is being an Orkut King really something to aspire for?
